According to the Apple Store measurements, which were recorder September 19 just three days after the lunch of iOS 9, over 50% of users has upgraded their iOS device to Apple's all-new firmware, including owner of the iPhone 4s or newer, iPod Touch 5th-Gen or later, all iPad Minis, and iPad 2 or above. Although adoption rates are expected to get a boost later this week when iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launches in Apple’s retail stores, carriers, and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
According to Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing "Customer response to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been incredibly positive, we can't wait to get our most advanced iPhones ever into customers’ hands starting this Friday," He continued "iOS 9 is also off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history".
The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus will be available September 25 in retail stores starting $649 and $749 respectively.
