Android Wear Updated With iOS Support


Following the announcement of Android Wear v1.3 over one week ago, Google has revealed the latest update hitting its smartwatches and other wearable-designed OS, as well as one of long waited and much anticipated feature, iOS Support.

Google has released a brand new Android Wear App for iOS, enabling iPhone users, including iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, and 6 Plus running iOS 8.2, to pair their smartphone with an Android Wear-powered smartwatch and access simple and helpful information right to their wrists including:

  • Get your info at a glance including phone calls, messages, and notifications from your favorite apps
  • Tracks walking and running, measures your heart rate, set fitness goals, and get daily and weekly views of your progress
  • Receive timely tips like when to leave for appointments, current traffic info, and flight status
  • Say "Ok Google" to ask questions or create to-dos and reminders
Android Wear is now rolling on iOS, and works with LG Watch Urbane as well as all future Android Wear watches, including  Huawei, Asus, and Motorola.
