How To Downgrade From Windows 10

Following the launch of Windows 10 on PC and Tablet devices just few days ago, as well as How To Clean Install Windows 10 After Upgrade guide, some users have reported encountering some issues with Windows 10 after upgrading, while others on Windows 8 have started missing the very touch-based OS and metro UI.

To roll back to your previous Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 operating system, all you have to do is follow these simple instructions:

  • Always back up your data
  • Click Start > Settings
  • Update & Security
  • Recovery > Go Back To Windows 8.1/7 > Get Started
  • You’ll be presented with a blue screen
  • Fill in an option > Click Next
  • Another blue screen will pop up reminding you of what you need to know
  • Click Next and wait for the process to finish
  • Done !!
Reminder: This downgrade feature will only be available for one month after you first installed Windows 10. Also, if you had a password on your previous version of Windows, then you’ll require it once the process is finished.

That's it, you can now enjoy your beloved Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 on your machine. Although Windows 10 will still be available to upgrade for free within one year of availability.
