Apple Releases iOS 9 Beta 5

Following the launch of iOS 9 Beta 4 just over couple weeks ago, Apple has officially released a brand new build of iOS 9, iOS 9 Beta 5 build number 13A4325c, to developers for download and testing.

Similar to the previous released iOS 9 Beta 4, the fifth build of iOS 9 also includes some new features as well as other tweaks such as:

  • New wide selection of wallpapers
  • The addition of WiFi calling options for AT&T subscribers (not working yet)
  • New "Shuffle All" option for Apple Music
  • The keyboard has been tweaked and simplified with new shift and backspace keys for the iPhone 
  • The option to display App Store apps has been removed in Handoff
  • New "Regulatory" section has been to the General portion of the Settings app
  • New CarPlay UI and the ability to heart songs that are playing through Beats 1 radio or Apple Music
  • Calling and messaging labels has been removed from Siri Suggestions
  • The option to create shortcuts for keys has been renamed "Text Replacements"
  • New animation for turing the WiFi off
iOS 9 Beta 5 is now available through Software Update or via the iOS Dev Center for registered devs.
