Google has officially announced that Android M, the successor to last year's Android Lollipop, will now be called Android Marshmallow version number 6.0. The company has also released a new build of Android Marshmallow, Android Marshmallow Developer Preview 3 featuring:
- Under-the-hood enhancements
- New Wallpapers
- New Bootanimation
- New Animation for Now On Tap (not working yet)
- System UI tuner can now be activated by long pressing the setting icon on the notification center
- The Homescrren can no longer be rotated on smartphones
- New options for USB configuration under Developer option
Android Marshmallow Developer Preview 3 is now rolling out on Nexus 5, 6, 9, and Nexus Player devices for developers as well as anyone willing to try what the next Android release has to offer.
