Microsoft Releases New Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build

Following the release of Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10149 for the Fast Ring over couple weeks ago and then expanding the 10149 Build to the Slow Ring about a week ago, Microsoft has officially launched a brand new build of Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10166, to Windows Insiders for download and testing.

Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build 10166 features:
  • Lots of small changes and feature tweaks
  • Improvements to the core quality
  • The missing post-upgrade migration status screen issue has been fixed
  • Unable to unlock the phone after entering the PIN issue has been fixed
  • Colors in apps will now appear correctly 
  • The Beta has been dropped from the new Store, while the old one has been removed
  • Improved reliability of app downloads and updates from the Store
  • The size of the battery icon has been slightly bumped up
Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10166 is now available through Windows Update for users who are already on the Windows 10 Mobile build, as part of the company's Fast Ring builds program.
