Google Releases Android M Developer Preview 2


Following the announcement of Android M over a month ago, Google has released Android M Developer Preview 1 for select Nexus devices, and now the company has launched the second build of Android M, Android M Developer Preview 2, to developers as well as public beta testers for download and testing.

The Android M Developer Preview 2 is an "incremental update" featuring bug fixes, as well as 
a variety of enhancements including:
  • The app drawer has ditched the alphabetical list with letters and apps grouping
  • New "Show Predictive Apps" and Allow Rotation" options for Homescreen
  • Google Now cards now include the option to enable "Now On Tap" (not working yet)
  • New delete button when taking a screenshot
  • New Storage & USB option with redesigned look and new Explore option
  • New separate Memory option in Settings
  • New System UI tuner options including Status Bar and Show Battery Percentage, and Demo Mode
Android M Developer Preview 2 is now rolling out on Nexus 5, 6, 9, and Nexus Player devices for developers as well as anyone willing to try what the next Android release has to offer.
