Comcast Introducing Stream


Following HBO Now Streaming Service and SHOWTIME Streaming Service, Comcast is the latest one to join the party with to its all-new Stream, a stand-alone streaming service, offering Xfinity internet customers the ability to tune in to their favorite TV shows, movies, and sports anytime, anywhere, and from any device.

With Stream, users will be able to watch live TV from about a dozen networks, including all the major broadcast nets and HBO, view on demand Movies and TV Shows, as well as access to TV Everywhere and a cloud DVR so they can record all their favorites and watch them later, all wright from their laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

According to Comcast "We’ll continue to experiment by creating offerings like Stream, so that users can choose the service that works best for them. So if you love TV and spend most of your time with the screen in your lap as opposed to the one on the wall, Stream may just be the thing for you".

Stream will be available first in Boston at the end of the summer for $15/month, while Chicago and Seattle will get it later on. Last but not least, the streaming service will be rolling out "everywhere in our footprint" by early next year.
