Apple Introducing New iPod Touch


Following the launch of the iPod Touch 5th gen about three years ago, Apple has officially revealed its latest and greatest product, as well as the latest member joining the iPod family, the iPod Touch 6th Gen, delivering the company's "best iPod touch yet".

The iPod Touch 6th Gen features 4-inch (1136x640) IPS display, A8 64-bit Dual-core processor, M8 motion coprocessor, 16/32/64/128GB internal storage, 8MP iSight shooter and 1.2MP FaceTime HD Camera, Up to 8 hours, and iOS 8 (upgradable to iOS 9).

The new iPod comes in 6.1mm thin and weighs 88g, with 10x faster GPU and 6X faster CPU, Time-lapse and slo-mo video at 120fps, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi‑Fi, AirPlay, CarPlay, AirPlay support, Siri, as well as Space Gray, Silver, Gold, Pink, Red, and Blue color options.

According to Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPhone, iPod and iOS Product Marketing "iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the App Store and iOS, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, starting at just $199" He continued "With big advancements like the A8 chip and the 8 megapixel iSight camera, customers can experience next-level gameplay, take even more beautiful photos and enjoy their favorite music, TV shows and movies".

The company has also announced refreshed colors for its iPod Shuffle as well as the iPod Nano including a Gold, Silver, Blue, Pink, and Space gray color options.

The iPod Touch 
6th Gen is now available starting at $199 for the base model, and goes up to $399 for the 128GB model through the company's online Store, retail stores, and select Apple authorized resellers.
