The new SHOWTIME streaming service will offer users unlimited access to celebrated SHOWTIME programming, award-winning series, hit movies, groundbreaking documentaries, hilarious comedy, and action packed sports, all with commercial-free through a monthly subscription and a "high-speed" internet connection.
According to the SHOWTIME "For the first time ever, SHOWTIME will be offered as a stand-alone streaming service available over the internet and Apple is the service’s first distributor" The company continued "Our new stand-alone service will be called SHOWTIME, a brand already embraced as the home for cutting-edge original programming, sports and movies".
The SHOWTIME app will be available July 12 in US first on Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV for $10.99/month, with more platform to be announced later on. Although users who sign up through Apple devices in July will get a 30-day free trial.
