Microsoft Releases New Windows 10 Mobile Insiders Preview Build

Following the release of Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 about two weeks ago, and the recently leaked Windows 10 Mobile Release Date, Microsoft has officially released a new build of Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10136, to Windows Insiders for download and testing.

Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10136 features:
  • Tons of fit and finish changes including the PIN pad is now transparent and slides up, changes to fonts, icons, and layout
  • Improvements to Cortana including adjustments to cards, new dark theme, flights and packages tracking, Alerts for going to work, home, and the airport are now re-enabled
  • Photos and Camera includes improvements in performance and reliability, the ability to double-tap to zoom on a photo, sorts you photos by months
  • One-handed use enables 5-inch or larger devices to slide down their screen by simply pressing and holding the Start button
The company has also announced that insiders on
the build 10080 must go back to Windows Phone 8.1 through the Windows Phone Recovery Tool, then go to the Windows Insider app and select Insider Fast again, due to a migration bug. However users who don't want to jump this hop won’t be offered this build but they will still be getting the next one.

Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10136 is now available for users who are already on the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview, as part of the company's Fast Ring protocol.
