Apple Releases iOS 9 Beta 2


Following the reveal of iOS 9, Apple has released iOS 9 Beta 1 just over couple weeks ago, and now the company has released a new build of iOS 9, iOS 9 Beta 2 build number 13A4280e, to developers for download and testing.

iOS 9 Beta 2 includes new features such as:

  • Updated icon and layout for Podcasts
  • the App Switcher now displays Handoff
  • Improved search wider range of results
  • The Apple Watch app has been renamed Watch
  • Added News Setting toggle
  • iPad keyboard tweaks
  • Auto app delete/reinstall when installing a new OS on low storage device
  • New options to toggle on Safari Tab Bar and Favorites Bar
iOS 9 also features bug fixes including:
  • AirPlay connectivity has been improved 
  • Changing a password in the Family section of iCloud Settings now works 
  • Restoring from a backup created in iOS 9 is now faster 
  • Mail no longer crashes when trying to print a message
  • Third-party keyboards now work in search results

You can get iOS 9 Beta 2 through Software Update or the iOS Dev Center for registered devs, while registered public beta testers will begin receiving iOS 9 Betas starting next month.
