Microsoft first announced its latest and greatest web browser, code-named "Project Spartan", back at the Windows 10 Consumer Experience event in January, and following the release of Spartan browser alongside Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049 about a month ago, the company has officially announced the final name for its all-new web browser, Microsoft Edge Browser.
Microsoft Edge Browser features:
- Search faster in the address bar with search suggestions
- Hub: all your stuff in one placebuilt-in note taking and sharing
- Dynamic duo: Cortana and Microsoft Edge
- New engine for the modern Web
According to Microsoft "Microsoft Edge is the all-new Windows 10 browser built to give you a better web experience. Write directly on webpages and share your mark-ups with others. Read online articles free of distraction or use the offline reading feature for greater convenience. Microsoft Edge is the new browser that works the way you do".
Microsoft Edge is now available on the Windows 10 Insider Preview Builds, and will be the official web browser for Windows 10 when its hits the market as a free upgrade on both PCs and mobile devices, which is expected to be late July.
