Microsoft Reveals New Surface 3


Microsoft has officially revealed its latest and greatest product, as well as the latest member joining the Surface family, the Surface 3, delivering the "tablet that can replace your laptop but is thinner, lighter and even more affordable".

The Surface 3 features 10.8-inch Full HD Plus (1920 x 1280) display, Intel Atom Quad Core processor clocked at 1.6GHz with Intel Burst technology up to 2.4GHz and 2MB Cache, up to 4GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, microSD card, 8MP shooter and 3.5 front-facing camera, up to 10 hours of video playback, 4G/LTE, and Windows 8.1 (free upgrade to Windows 10).

The tablet comes in 8.7mm thin and 622g, with full-size USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort, micro USB charging port, headset jack, stereo speakers with Dolby® Audio-enhanced sound, Type Cover and Surface Pen, three-position kickstand, and 1-year of Office 365 Personal6 with OneDrive cloud storage.

According to Panos Panay, corporate vice president, Microsoft Surface "Surface 3 brings what customers love about Surface Pro 3 to more people, delivering the premium design and productivity of Surface in a more affordable device" He continued "We’ve taken everything we learned making Surface Pro 3 and poured that innovation into this newest Surface. It’s beautiful, versatile, powerful and productive, and our customers are going to love what it lets them do".

The Surface 3 is now available for pre-order starting at $499 in US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland,Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand. Although the tablet will be available for purchase starting May 5.
