Google Launches Android 5.1


Google has officially revealed the latest update coming to Android Lollipop, the company's latest and sweetest Android release yet, Android 5.1, delivering improvements in stability and performance as well as offering a few new features.

Android 5.1 features:

  • Multiple SIM cards support: Allows users to use more than one SIM card on a device with multiple SIM slots
  • Device Protection: Keeps your stolen or lost device locked until you sign in with your Google account, even after factory reset
  • HD voice calling: Delivers "crystal clear" calling with HD Voice between compatible Android 5.1
  • Enhancements like: The ability to join Wi-Fi networks, and control paired Bluetooth devices directly from Quick Settings

Android 5.1 is now rolling out, although only Nesus devices are expected to be updated ASAP, while other devices might take a little longer depending on your OEM and Carrier.

Android
