Alcatel OneTouch Introducing Idol 3 & Hero 2+


Alcatel OneTouch has officially revealed its latest and greatest products, as well as the latest members joining the Hero and Idol families, the Idol 3 and the Hero 2+, delivering the "best-in-class components and software, designed with partners who are leaders in their fields".

The Idol 3 features 4.7-inch 720p/5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, Quad-core processor (4.7-inch model)/ Octa-core processor (5.5-inch model), 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card (up to 128GB), 13MP shooter with x4 digital zoom and 8MP front-facing camera, 4G/LTE, 2.910mAh battery, and Android Lollipop.

The phone comes in 7.4mm thin and 152g, with Back matt with hair line brushed effect finish and frame, front-facing speakers, Hi-Fi sound, JBL audio with Clari-Fi technology, FM radio, as well as Dark Gray color option.

The Hero 2+ features 6-inch 1080p IPS display, MediaTek MT6592 Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card (up to 32GB), 13MP shooter with x4 digital zoom and 5MP front-facing camera, 4G/LTE, 3100 mAh battery, and Cyanogen OS 11 on top of Android KitKat.

The phone comes in 7.9mm thin and 170g, 2.05mm narrow bezel, with brushed aluminum / matte metal finish, Hi-Fi Audio, as well as JBL in-ear stereo headset.

The Hero 2+ will be available unlocked for $299 in Q2 2015. Unfortunately there is no word yet on pricing and availability of the Idol 3, although the device is scheduled to roll out worldwide unlocked.
