BQ Introducing Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition

BQ, a Spanish consumer electronics and software development company, has officially revealed its latest and greatest products, and the latest member joining the growing Ubuntu family, the Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition, delivering The world’s first Ubuntu phone, while putting content at the heart of the experience.

The Aquaris E4.5 features 4.5-inch qHD (540x960) IPS display, MediaTek Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, Mali 400 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, MicroSD card (up to 32 GB), 8MP shooter with autofocus and 5MP front-facing camera, 2150 mAh battery, and Ubuntu OS.

The phone comes in 9 mm thin and 123 g, with dual SIM, unlocked, micro-USB OTG support, FM radio, and black color option.

The Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition will be available starting next week in EU for €169.90, which is about $192, through a series of Flash Sales at BQ, while the exact date, time and URL for the first Flash Sale will be announced via @Ubuntu, @bqreaders, +Ubuntu and Ubuntu within the next week.
