Samsung Introducing The Z1


Samsung has officially revealed its latest and greatest Tizen-based smartphone, the Z1, delivering "exclusive benefits for localized entertainment apps and a simple user interface that makes mobility easier and more enjoyable, even for the first-time smartphone users."

The Z1 features 4-inch WVGA PLS display, Dual Core Processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 768 MB RAM, 4GB Internal storage, MicroSD Card (up to 64GB), 3.1 MP shooter and VGA front-facing camera, 1500 mAh battery, Bluetooth® 4.1, dual SIM support, and Tizen 2.3.

The phone comes in 9.7mm thin and 112g, with wide range of free entertainment content including music, movies, videos, mobile TV and radio, Joy Box entertainment package, features like Ultra Power Saving Mode and Private Mode, as well as White, Black, and Wine Red color options.

According to Mr. Hyun Chil Hong, President and CEO, Samsung India Electronics ​"The smartphone market in India is rapidly evolving, with many consumers using their device as their screen of choice for content including videos, television programs and video games, as well as a range of apps," He continued "We have customized the Samsung Z1 to meet these unique, entertainment-focused needs of local Indian consumers for a personal and reliable mobile experience".

The Samsung Z1 will be available in India starting today for NR 5,700, which around $90. Unfortunately there is no word yet on whether or not the phone will make it out of India.
