Nokia's HERE Maps offers maps for almost 200 countries, with turn-by-turn walk or drive guidance in almost 100 of those, traffic information in more than 40 and transit maps and directions in more than 750 urban areas across more than 40 countries.
What makes HERE maps stand out is its "fresh maps" that keeps working even without an Internet connection, which means your location will be still found via GPS, and browsing the map, searching for places and offline navigation will also keep working, even if you’re not connected, when you’re underground, or in rural areas.
HERE maps will be available exclusively for Samsung Galaxy smartphones for free as soon as the Gear S hits retail stores, which is sometime in October.
