An earth's view was Recently shared by Alexander Gerst, an astronaut at the European Space Agency, shows off what Gaza and Israel looked like as the ISS traveled over the region.
Gerst pointed out that the bursts of light and bright lines seen in the picture are snaps of explosions and flying rockets, and described it as his saddest photo yet. "My saddest photo yet. From #ISS we can actually see explosions and rockets flying over #Gaza & #Israel " He said
However according to PetaPixel "that would be very difficult to capture effectively from space."
