PC support for Xbox One controller on the way

In response to a post on NeoGAF Forum wondering about the PC support for the controller. Xbox programming director Larry Hryb confirmed that PC support for the Xbox One controller is on the way, he said "Soon. Very Soon."

While there’s no specific time or date when this will happen, in August Microsoft stated that the Xbox One controller would be PC-compatible at some point in 2014.

Earlier this Year Albert Penello, senior director of product planning and management for Xbox explained that the upcoming drivers will allow all Xbox One controllers to work on PCs with no need to purchase a specially designed one.
