According to The Wrap Netflix is raising the price from $7.99 to $8.99 per month starting today. The new rate only applies to the streaming side and only for new customers, for now of course.
Netflix said “In order to continue adding more movies and TV shows, we are increasing our price from $7.99 to $8.99 for new members. As a thank you for being a member of Netflix already, we guarantee that your streaming plan and price will not change for two years.”
Will the 12% increase be enough to make people cancel their subscriptions or turn off new members ? Only time will tell us.
