Motorola exec calls current smartwatches "crappy"

In an new interview with Mark Randall, Motorola’s Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations stated "Moto 360 is a really cool device that we think solves a lot of problems that no one else has solved in the wearables space."

"We look at the 360 and we look at what everyone has done in that space. To be honest we think they are all pretty crappy." and complains in particular about their designs by describing them "aren’t very sexy." considering the size and how bulky they can be on the wrist unlike the rounded more conferable design of the Moto 360 which looks like the traditional watch that we all love.

If you are wondering how much the Moto 360 will cost and if there's any official word about it, well Mark said in a mysterious way "we don’t feel that because we have launched the Moto G or Moto E we have to price the 360 at a different price point," which could be either the Moto 360 will be just as affordable as the Moto G and E or that Motorola favors the Moto 360 by getting it a more premium price tag.

He also teased us about "further announcements on other product categories" later this year.
