Microsoft has designated June 24 as the start of the lifecycle for Windows Phone 8.1, which is the period of time for which Microsoft will provide product support.
With Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft has promised 36 months of updates and security fixes. Microsoft listed July 11, 2017 as the date for which mainstream support will end for Windows Phone 8.1.
