Google Glass tear down shows off Parts Cost Under $80

A new report from Teardown.com claim to reveal the actual cost of Google Glass component is  is worth about $80, while Google is selling it for $1,500. A little bit too much profit don't you think.

The are a few possible reasons for that price tag :

• Research and Development of Glass are not included in the tear down.

• Google intentionally raised the price to attract only Devs and and devoted beta testers.

Google Glass is expected to hit the public market later this year; and according to reports, the price tag will drop around $500 or even less.
