Apple Overlooked Renewing SSL Certificate Causing Issues With OS X Update


According to MacRumors Apple forgotten to renew a SSL certificate leading to issues for users trying to upgrade OS X.

When attempting a Software Update, users are presented with the following error.





Swscan.apple.com is a server used by Apple for Software Update, and it looks like it indicates that it expired on May 24th at 23:59:59 GMT.

According to MacRumors Apple appears to have fixed the certificate. But if the issue isn't fix yet for you, you can always manually download the updates from Here.
