Samsung SDI has unveiled its new curved battery for wearable devices which was first
introduced in the Gear Fit.
Featuring the world’s largest capacity battery in a wearable device rocking a 210 mAh battery is said to offer enough juice to get fancy bands like the Gear Fit work longer than competing products,It also uses new battery lamination technology in a tiny cell, as well as V-bending technology to increase the capacity through increased energy density in such a compact size.
According to Samsung’s Lee Kyung-sang “As the global market for smartbands is anticipated to expand sharply in the near future, Samsung SDI will continue to make efforts to become the No. 1 player in the smartband batteries market,”
