Samsung has done some very interesting efforts to push the smartwatch ecosystem forward. It did a very decent job in giving us a product that could allow you to use alot of your smartphone features on your wrist, like theability to make phone calls through the device’s speaker, and it seems Samsung wants to go even further with this concept.
some new reports show Samsung working on a device called the Samsung Gear Solo, as part of the new Samsung Gear line-up. It will be a stand-alone smartwatch, and reportedly will be only available in South Korea and include a USIM module and a built-in radios for receiving and making calls.
The device is expected to be released in SK Telecom in the next couple of weeks, and there are already some concerns over how Samsung plans to handle battery life with a device this small.
