Apple closed a deal with LG to be the sole supplier of flexible displays for the iWatch, according to Naver. The news corroborates a report from January, which said that Apple had linked up with LG for a flexible, plastic OLED iWatch display. The report also claimed that LG would be the only provider of the 1.52-inch panels.
Back in February, LG said that demand for its displays was high. "There are many requests for plastic OLED from our smartphone (making) clients and the interest in wearable devices are pretty high".
