Twitter keep trying several new features and bring new updates in an attempt to compete and create some kind of balance with Facebook , and the new feature is the ability to read and write ( smilies ) on the desktop version of Twitter which wasn't possible in the past.
It been a while since mobile users of Twitter were able to send and read ( smilies ) and symbols, which were available for some time on Facebook and other sites, but on the contrary this property was not available in the desktop version of Twitter.
